Cassiopae SAS, a leading provider of global asset finance software, today announced the successful roll-out of its V4 Cassiopae leasing software at BRD Sogelease IFN S.A., the leasing subsidiary of BRD - Groupe Société Générale, the 2nd largest commercial bank in Romania.
Cassiopae’s V4 software is managing the back-office leasing functions for BRD Sogelease in Romania including contract activation, payables, receivables, mid-term adjustments, asset management, end of contract, delinquency management, and management of local legal/accounting requirements (e.g.:
multi-currency: Euro/Leu). In the future (2010) they will also manage the front-office and credit decision functions using Cassiopae software.
“After a global review of all of the major leasing software providers we selected Cassiopae for its functional coverage, flexibility for implementation in subsidiaries of various sizes, and its Web technology, which allows us to share the running costs,” said Thierry de Varreux - Société Générale.

The phased roll-out is collaboration between Cassiopae, Société Générale, and CapGemini, a global provider of consulting, technology, outsourcing, and local professional services. According to Christophe Peltier, Skill Group Manager for banking solutions at Capgemini, “The fact that Cassiopae is such a highly-configurable system lowers implementation risk for our clients.”
“We were proud to be chosen as the first SG site to integrate Cassiopae. Next, we are looking forward to implementing the front-office operations so we can take advantage of Cassiopae’s integrated front-to-back features,” stated Jean Claude Boloux, Head of BRD Sogelease.
Cassiopae software enables customers to use one,highly-configurable system for managing all types of leases and assets. The system supports local language, currency, accounting, and regulatory requirements using a single database.
