BELGRADE (Serbia), May 18 (SeeNews) - Raiffeisen Leasing Serbia said on Thursday it has signed a 20 million euro ($22.3 million) credit line deal with the European Investment Bank (EIB) in support of small and medium-sized companies (SMEs).
With the credit line, Raiffeisen Leasing Serbia will support investments in the field of the knowledge economy, energy, environment, healthcare, education, industry and tourism, the company said in a press release.
The credit line will facilitate the access to capital of Serbian SMEs, which is crucial for the economic growth of the entire country, Raiffeisen Leasing Serbia said.
The association of leasing companies in Serbia, ALCS, said on Wednesday that the aggregate value of new leasing contracts signed by its members in the first quarter of 2017 rose by 18.7% on the year to 69 million euro.
